This watercolor image is 16"x20". This Guna woman of the Panamanian archipelago San Blas, wears her indigenous peoples stories in her clothing. Her headscarf added at puberty, leg beads, nose ring and mola shirt,which was originally patterns on the skin, tell their spirit world guidance in patterns - banned in 1919 now proudly worn!
